Child safety standards at Babee
Babee is a messaging app for children under 13, run by Capitan Ltd. (Israel). Protecting children is the reason the app exists.
What we do not allow. Child sexual abuse and exploitation material, grooming, sexual or inappropriate contact between an adult and a child, sexualised images of children, sharing a child's private details, bullying, threats, and any content that puts a child at risk. These are banned for everyone, including adults.
How we prevent it. Every child's account is set up by a parent or guardian; in the pilot, only parents Babee invited can sign up. Adults can't contact a child unless a parent has approved the contact, and children connect with friends outside their class only when both parents approve.
How to report. In the app, press and hold a message and tap "Tell Babee", block a contact, or open "Talk to someone" in Me for help. You can also write to [email protected].
What we do when we find it. We remove the content, block the account, keep the evidence securely, and report to the Israeli authorities (the police and the national child-protection hotline) as the law requires or allows. We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.
Who is responsible. Contact for child safety: [email protected].
