Chat for kids, set up by parents.
Babee is a messaging app for children under 13. You approve every contact, and you're asked only when you're needed.
Babee is in a small pilot with invited classes, on Android and iPhone (test versions). Questions? Write to us.
How it works
- You register. Only a parent or guardian can open a child's account. In the pilot, only invited parents can sign up.
- You approve. Every contact and every group. Groups are the class, the activity group and the family, and a class representative confirms every member. A friend from outside the class connects only when both children's parents approve.
- Kids talk. When the check isn't sure, it asks you. You don't have to read everything.
Why Babee
- You're asked only when needed. You approve contacts, and you decide only on what the check isn't sure about.
- Real communities. Kids talk with their class, their activity group and their family.
Good to know
We say it up front.
- Babee is not end-to-end encrypted, so that messages can be checked.
- Messages between your child and a confirmed guardian get a lighter check, only for the most serious content: a message that may be dangerous is held for someone at Babee and isn't delivered. Messages from other family adults, such as grandparents, aunts and uncles, get that check too, and messages that ask where a child is, or for photos or contact details, are also held for someone at Babee and not delivered. Swearing isn't stopped in these chats.
- No system catches everything. Kids can press and hold a message to tell Babee, block a contact, and find "Talk to someone" in Me.
- Voice messages are checked by turning speech into text: the check reads the words, not the tone or other sounds.
- Notifications show the sender and the start of the message, and pass through Apple and Google. You can turn previews off in Parent Babee.
- This is a test version. Some things may not work perfectly.
Messages are stored and checked on Babee's own servers in Israel; they pass through a network security provider in transit. They aren't sent to AI companies abroad. Privacy policy
